Position Summary

Fedearal Data Systems is looking for a Database Administrator who will be responsible for managing and driving the database design; setting up the database; & management during design, build, and testing of the Oracle database components for the new solution.

Essential Job Functions

  • Conduct analysis, design, and build of the database components of the solution (Oracle 11g and 12c).
  • Support the infrastructure database team in all environments.
  • Monitor and support the development, test, and operations architecture of database components associated with the assigned release.
  • Document database design, setup, and database related items.
  • Use Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) to perform administration of Oracle applications and databases.
  • Support the identification and management of risks, issues, and action items related to infrastructure and technical architecture, specifically the database components.
  • Review key project deliverables.
  • Communicate release objectives, policies, standards, procedures, and processes to the Technical Architecture Lead and the client.

Minimum Required Qualifications

  • Due to the nature of this position and the information that employees will be required to access, U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • Required Security Clearance: Top Secret clearance is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in technology or the sciences, or industry-equivalent experience required.
  • Must have 5+ years of Oracle DBA experience.
  • Must have 3+ years of experience with Oracle 11g and Oracle RAC.
  • Must have 5+ years of experience designing and implementing database schemas, system conversions, PL/SQL, and Explain Plans.
  • Must have 2 to 4 years of experience developing Solution Architect initiatives.

Desired/Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with PostgreSQL.
  • Oracle DBA certification.

Working Conditions:

Work is typically based in a busy office environment and subject to frequent interruptions. Business work hours are normally set from Monday through Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm, however some

extended or weekend hours may be required. Additional details on the precise hours will be informed to the candidate from the Program Manager/Hiring Manager.


Physical Requirements:

May be required to lift and carry items weighting up to 25 lbs. Requires intermittent standing, walking, sitting, squatting, stretching and bending throughout the workday.


Background Screening/Check/Investigation:

Successful Completion of a Background Screening/Check/Investigation will be required as a condition of hire.
