Position Summary

FedData Technology Solutions, LLC (FDTS) is seeking a Warehouse Technician Intern. This introduction to Warehouse Operations will consist of six weeks of learning the fundamentals of receiving, shipping, inventory control, pulling and delivering orders to the customer. The Intern will be taught best-in-class customer service skills in this multifaceted role. Required hours for this internship are 8 hours per day 6:00am – 4:00pm Monday- Friday.

Essential Job Functions

  • Receive hands-on training in Warehouse Operations and processes.
  • Apply learned concepts to assist with receiving, shipping, put away, and accuracy of inventory.
  • Demonstrate comprehension of safety standards by inspecting material handling equipment.
  • Pull, load/stage, and unload deliveries to the warehouse as directed.
  • Help with the Integration Team with bios updates, installing cards, and applying warranty labels.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Required Qualifications

  • Due to the nature of this position and the information that employees will be required to access, U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
  • Must be physically prepared to regularly lift up to fifty pounds, stoop, kneel, crawl and perform repetitive duties.
  • Must be physically able to stand, sit, move, squat, walk, and climb during the course of the shift.
  • Must demonstrate the ability to multi-task in a professional and efficient manner.
  • Must exhibit attention to detail and a willingness to learn/follow instructions.

 

Desired/Preferred Skills:

  • Working knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
  • Creative problem-solving skills

 

Working Conditions:

Work is typically based in a busy office environment and subject to frequent interruptions. Business work hours are normally set from Monday through Friday 6:00am to 4:00pm, however some extended or weekend hours may be required. Additional details on the precise hours will be informed to the candidate from the Program Manager/Hiring Manager.

 

Physical Requirements:

May be required to lift and carry items weighting up to 50 lbs. Requires intermittent standing, walking, sitting, squatting, stretching and bending throughout the work day.

 

Background Screening/Check/Investigation:

Successful Completion of a Background Screening/Check/Investigation will be required as a condition of hire.
