Position Summary

 

FedData Technology Solutions, LLC is seeking a Senior Contracts Specialist join our contracting team, reporting to the SVP for Contracting. This position requires display of extensive knowledge of federal contracting processes and demonstrated experience drafting and negotiating contracts and related documentation.

Essential Job Functions

  • Create and negotiate various types of agreements ensuring they align with FDTS business objectives and legal requirements
  • Interact with external business and government counterparts on contractual matters
  • Work as part of contracting and business team to agilely and collaboratively respond to dynamic contracting requirements

Minimum Required Qualifications

  • Due to the nature of this position and the information that employees will be required to access, U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • There is no clearance required for this position
  • Bachelor’s degree in federal contracting, procurement, acquisition planning business or a related field required.
  •  3-5 years of experience in federal contracting from the government and/or corporate perspective, to include primary responsibility for reviewing, negotiating, executing, and administering contract documents subject to the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR)
  • Experience with prime contracts, subcontracts, purchase orders, and contract-related documents (e.g., non-disclosure agreements, reseller agreements, teaming agreements, etc.)
  • Experience with government contracting databases such as the System for Award Management (SAM) and associated compliance requirements (e.g., representations and certifications).
  • Experience with customer service – engaging with government employees and/or industry representatives with professionalism, tact, and diplomacy
  • Ability to adjust adeptly and agilely to a small business’s priorities and work collaboratively as a team player with corporate officials at all levels
  • Excellent problem-solving and oral/written communication skills

 

Desired/Preferred Skills:

  • Ability to obtain security clearance
  • Professional certifications in contract management
  • While FAR experience is required, additional experience with federal contracting in the defense and national security arena, including familiarity with the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement, is preferred.

Pay Scale:

The salary for this position ranges from $90,000-$120,000. The salary range and/or hourly rate listed is a good faith determination of potential base compensation that may be offered to a successful applicant for this position at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future. When determining a base salary and/or rate, several factors may be considered as applicable (e.g., years of relevant experience, education, credentials, and internal equity).

 

Working Conditions:

Work is typically based in a busy office environment and subject to frequent interruptions. Business work hours are normally set from Monday through Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm, however some extended or weekend hours may be required. Additional details on the precise hours will be informed to the candidate from the Program Manager/Hiring Manager.

 

Physical Requirements:

May be required to lift and carry items weighting up to 25 lbs. Requires intermittent standing, walking, sitting, squatting, stretching and bending throughout the work day.

 

Background Screening/Check/Investigation:

Successful Completion of a Background Screening/Check/Investigation will be required as a condition of hire.
